What happens if you rev the motor hard and then release the throttle? I've had problems with an orderly return to idle since I removed my spacer; it tends to stall. I'm guessing that there is an over-rich condition when releasing the throttle. I need to spend some time and see if I can find a sweet spot in the idle mixture adjustment. I could set the idle higher I suppose, but I kind of like the blub blub blub sound it makes at idle now. :)
I wish I had more information on the Mikuni carb.
